Great variety, everything we had and shared were beautiful. The size of mains were all volumy we had to take home. Could taste the housemade and fresh flavor in every dish we had. Took me a bit to decide what to order, since there were so many things i wanted to try. Will love to go and try one of the fried rice next time. We found the chilli level was very spicy, even the one we chose mild had a good kick. 3 of us tried and shared Stirfry, soup, spring rolls, dim sims and wagyu steak. My partner said the steak was disappointing but personally i wouldn't expect steak to be good in a Thai restaurant so i wouldn't judge on that one. All the thai meals we had were amazing.

Phranakorn is a really great option for Thai food in Townsville. We have visited many times now & it is probably the best Thai the city has to offer at the current time. The food is consistently good & the whole barramundi w tamarind sauce is a great choice especially to share. The duck curry is also recommended. For entrees you will not be disappointed with the pork belly basket & the prawn & crab net rolls (like a spring roll but with crunchy net like pastry) The service is good & they try hard but I feel like they need to hire more as they will often get a little overwhelmed when the place gets busy as it often does. Good energy & nice enough cafe style atmosphere with outdoor & indoor seating. Highly recommended for a casual meal at any time. Edit 17 July 2025 Phranakorn is still a great reliable option for Thai food in Townsville. Great service tonight with quick food delivery & very friendly knowledgeable waitstaff. This restaurant has a great atmosphere, perfect for dining with friends, family, or a special someone. The food here is delicious, every dish we ordered. The staff is attentive and provides excellent service. If you're looking for a restaurant with a good atmosphere and delicious food, I highly recommend trying this place. Especially if you call ahead to order, they prepare the food very quickly, so you can eat as soon as you arrive. I'm very impressed!

Delicious food. One of the best Thai food we’ve had in Townsville. Close to being in Thailand itself! Would recommend the Beef Massaman, 10/10 will be returning.

You know the foods gonna be good when you see the workers kid chilling in the restaurant. We got the massaman curry and it's (dare I say) the singular best dish in townsville.

I had an amazing dinner there this week. The girl serving me recommended the cashew nut chicken. Not something I’d normally order, but it was a 10/10. Steaming hot and fresh with great flavour! Just a hint of chilli and sweetness. Excited to try out the rest of the menu!
